Hello everyone! It feels really good to be back here with all of you. I know they say apologizing for being away from your blog is considered a “negative” thing but to be honest with you…I am sorry it has taken me so long to post. We have been in baby land for three weeks now and our priority has been learning to be parents to baby Oskar.
Oskar Jennings Kempe joined us on December 14, 2014 at 09:40 with a set of lungs on him that would make Pavarotti jealous. His sweet nature was apparent the moment he was handed over to me and that moment will forever be etched in my heart and mind. It has taken me quite some time to wrap my head around what has taken place so when the time is right I will share more about my inner interior since his arrival. For now I just wanted to check in with you and share some snapshots from the hospital and a few from home.
We are having the best time and I can now see why people have more than one child. Savoring this time at home with Oskar while he is still tiny, sleepy and incredibly cuddly is right where I want to be.
Of course we could not do this without the enormous help of my Mom, Linda. After a month with us we asked her to stay an extra week so we could really get the hang of handling everything. I will say it is quite nice to have a third set of hands and breakfast on the table every morning! Thank you, Mom for all your help and support!
For those Coolwhip and Popcorn fans don’t fret! They love their baby brother and are very protective of the stroller and the front door of our house. We were surprised at how easily they transitioned from being the center of attention and they gladly take a back seat (literally). The good thing is there is enough love to go around for everyone and where there is love there is the possibility for even more love.
Thank you all for your kind comments and emails surrounding this precious time for us. I will be back soon with more stories and sharing. We wish you all a wonderful day and week!
