The next single…quote.

Sometimes all I need is a selection of words whether it be a mantra I repeat to center myself in the present or a quote to inspire me to de-densify my mind. I don’t know about you guys but Pinterest is buzzing with some extra special words right now and I often find myself gravitating to those rather than the material beauty. Although I am a sucker for a good flower image or a gorgeous outfit, my Pinterest page WORDS is full of inspiring text. There is one quote that has really inspired me this week,  it’s not new to me but I wanted to share it with you anyway. I have found that whenever I stop breathing, I get “lost” in the space of now and when that happens there is usually some judgement going on whether it be of myself or another. I am human, I judge even though I don’t want to but I have learned something along the way that has been incredibly helpful. I need not concern myself with the fact that I judge, that is merely a human part of me that I can either feed or starve. The choice is mine. The biggest decision is where the bread and butter is: what I do with my judgements is what matters-the most.

When I find myself in a place of judgement I don’t blame myself for being a “bad” person, I simply breathe and recenter myself with the reminder that we are all doing the very best we can which I truly believe. I know I am and I am sure you are too. It is amazing what happens when we can be ok with our humanness and extend that compassion to others….what a wonderful world it would be.

Being gentle with oneself is a whole other practice in itself and one that took me a good solid year to become better at. When we are better to ourselves we are kinder, compassionate and loving towards other human beings. Isn’t this what our world needs more of? Love!

Warmly,

Jocelyn

admin - Hey Anya, I totally agree with you! I think we both know it is not really the words but the love in the words that really makes a difference. Have a wonderful weekend, too! Hope the first week at school was a good one for the girls! Big hugs and lots of love, Jocelyn xxReplyCancel
