Flower Styling with #2 Flowergirls

Hello everyone and welcome to a very exciting day! Today I am celebrating the launch of my new blog AND the anemone! How much better could a day get for a girl? A fresh new blogging space and lots of beautiful flowers! I always love it when the #2flowergirls Elodie and Inga reveal the flower of the month because it gives me something to look forward to when I visit my flower shop. The anemone is not so common here in Arizona so I had to have these beauties shipped in from California. I have come to love this little precious flower for its quiet nature. There seems to be something alluring and at the same time very confident about her presence.

Coolwhip is never far away from where I am working, yet he is so quick to run when the camera comes out. So, this time I actually captured him with my lens! I do believe this is another reason to celebrate! With his shy nature, he rarely stays put when the camera comes out, and this time he must have known it was a extra special occasion.

A little tid bit**The anemone is a symbol for anticipation, according to Greek Mythology.  Today it could be seen as a flower that represents the anticipation of Spring. I do adore it, how about you? Have you ever looked at one closely? The petals are almost like paper, so thin and delicate yet very resilient.

Flowers are always a part of my styling for they add a simple and natural touch to harder surfaces. To me,  flowers allow a room to flow and add a smoothness to a room, not to mention amazing fragrance.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and do check out more on the #2flowergirls Pinterest board where you can see everyone’s flowers! Enjoy your day and make it meaningful.
